Today, after watching Foxy while the trainer rode him, I decided to have Foxy backtracked in his training. I will put Foxy on the driving reins for a couple of weeks. I am hoping to work him through his jumpiness.

In this picture, Foxy Prize has a white washclothe on his head. He was very accepting of it, even when it fell down to the ground at his feet. I ran the washcloth all over him.

In the two pictures above, I am sitting on Foxy's back.

After the trainer was done with Foxy, I took him into the outdoor arena and worked with him there. I led him through cones set up in a line and walked him over three wooden poles that I had placed about four or five feet apart. The cones were also about four to six feet apart. I did this to help build his trust in me. I also did it to cool him down.

This picture and all of the others were taken on 25 August 1999. This is a picture of Foxy's head after his bath. My daughter Debra gave him his bath.
