This page is covering weeks 4 and 5 of Foxy's training.

During week four very little was done with Foxy, at least very little with training him to be ridden. I did some work with him on picking up his feet.

Monday 10 April 1999, Foxy was driven again. He did very well.

Tuesday we did not do any work with Foxy. The trainer had several classes of preschoolers and kindergarteners come to his ranch to see his horses. I helped him show the horses and then helped give the children rides on a horse.

Wednesday I worked with Foxy on accepting having parts of the saddle bang against him. I also worked with him on picking up his feet, while the saddle was on his back. Doing this will make it possible to work with his feet at any time or place.

Thursday I again worked on getting Foxy to accept parts of the saddle banging agianst him. I also ran the lead rope all obout him, including between his legs. I also worked and got him to walk across the plastic twice.

On friday all I did was lunge Foxy and work with him on his ground manners.
