During this week I turned Foxy loose in an outdoor arena one day, so I could get some pictures of him running loose. I also gave him and Foxanne, a chestnut filly, bathes.

All of the pictures below were taken on 25 May 1999. As is obvious, Foxy Prize enjoyed his time loose in the arena.

In the two pictures above, Foxy is running. Behind him is the barn and covered arena.

Here Foxy is trotting. The background shows one of the large gates leading into the pasture behind the barn.

Foxy stopped here to check out the smells.

In these two pictures, Foxy is walking and observing what is on the outside of the arena.

This picture was the last one I took before catching him. After I put the camera down, I called him and walked up to him and put his lead rope on him. I walked him for several minutes to cool him down.

I put several small logs in the arena, and then walked Foxy over them. I also walked him between the logs. He backed up through two if the logs. We walked over, around and through the logs for about half an hour. Working over the logs also helped cool Foxy down.

On Thursday, 27 May 1999, I gave Foxy Prize and Foxanne a bath. Foxy needed one to finish removing the sweat from his time running in the arena. Foxanne needed one to remove dirt from her coat. I also helped Tex trim Foxanne's feet.
