Saturday, 21 Oct 2000, I went with the youth of our ward to the temple. There I handed out towels as the youth came out of the font. I enjoyed being there and will go again when the youth go next.
I wrote to one of Robert's aunts and asked her for any infomation she could give me. I recieved a letter back saying she would get me the genealogy information I asked for and send it to me. She also said she was glad someone would have it. I am very thankful for any help she can give me.
I have been making screen savers during the past week. I now have several made. If you are intersted in them plaes let me know.
Yesterday, 22 Sept 2000, Iwent to the Medford Oregon Temple. I was very glad to go and perform work for the dead there. I will be going again next thursday. Yesterday was a wonderful experience. I once thought that temple trips for baptisms was only for the youth, now I know that the Adults are also invited to do them. Robert also went with me. When we were done at the Temple, we went out to eat.
Two sundays ago was our ward conference. The Chior sang "If You Could Hie To Kolob". Our ward now has a new Bishop. He was our chior director and also the music person. This means that we also have a new chior director and music person.
Last week, 10 thru 14 July 2000, I was at Girls Camp. I took my daughters and several girls from our ward up and we stayed for the week. We had lots of fun.
Last sunday, 9 July, I gave the closing prayer in our Sacrament meeting. Debra gave a talk and we listened to our High Council Speakers. After the meetings were over, I recieved a blessing for strength to cope with girls camp.
This past sunday, 18 June, was Stake Conference for the Medford Oregon Stake. The combined Yreka/Etna Ward Chiors provided music for the conference. I and my daughter Debra are members of the Yreka Ward Chior and were part of the Chior for the Stake Conference. The Chior sang three songs from the hymnbook, two songs from the chior book, and one from sheet music. The conference was very good. We now have a new Stake President and new councelors. There were two general authorities present at the conference. They were Elder Madsen of the Seventy and 1st Councelor in the North American, Northwest Area Presidency and Elder Robinson Area Authority Seventy. Debra and I shook hands with Elder Madsen, who said he had enjoyed the music provided by the Chior.
Two sundays ago, I attended church down in Chico CA. I attended Sacrament meetings for First and Fifth wards. This was a very interesting experience that I really enjoyed. First ward is a bilingual ward and they had two babies to be blessed. One was blessed in English and the other was blessed in the other language of the ward(I think it was Mung). I also attended Sunday School with First ward. I watched the Primary for a little and then went to Fifth ward's Sacrament meeting. I also enjoyed this meeting.
On the last saturday of April 2000, I went to Oakland CA and to San Fransisco CA. I took my dog, Helga, and my daughters, Victoria and Debra. In Oakland, I went to a church clothing store and a church bookstore. I purchased items from both places. From the clothing store I purchased Temple Clothes to wear when I go to the Temples. At the bookstore, I purchased books, the Conference Ensign, and music cds.
